In 1994, the Uzbek metallurgical plant as a result of its Association with Shirin machine-building plant and self-management of enterprises “Vtorchermet”, was transformed into an open joint stock company “Uzbek Metallurgical Plant” in accordance with the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On establishment of joint stock company “Uzbek Metallurgical Plant”, dated from 24th of March 1994
